Interior Ministry expands national ID enrollment support for first-time applicants

New support desks have opened to help students, elderly applicants, and rural residents complete identity enrollment without repeat visits.

Alteria Interior announced an expanded identity enrollment program on March 28, 2026 to reduce repeat appointments for first-time applicants. Additional support desks have been placed in schools, municipal offices, and provincial service centers to help residents complete document checks, biometric capture, and address confirmation in a single visit. The ministry said the new arrangement focuses on applicants who commonly need extra assistance, including elderly residents, students reaching registration age, and people traveling from remote districts. Provincial directors were instructed to publish weekly schedules and to reserve walk-in capacity for applicants with verified travel hardship. Officials said stronger identity coverage improves access to banking, examinations, social programs, and lawful travel, while also making the national register more accurate.
