Interior Ministry standardizes event-permit review across all provincial offices
A unified checklist is being introduced for crowd safety, traffic diversion, noise control, and emergency access planning.
Alteria Interior has issued a single event-permit review template to all provincial offices, replacing varied local forms that often delayed final approval. The new template requires promoters to provide venue details, crowd estimates, stewarding plans, emergency contact officers, and proof of coordination with municipal services where needed.
The ministry said a standard review process will improve fairness for organizers while making crowd-safety enforcement more consistent. Provincial permit units must now issue either an approval, a request for correction, or a reasoned refusal within the published service timeline.
Officials said the updated process is especially important for large cultural programs, sports gatherings, and open-air commercial events.
